I'll admit, I didn't understand the caption's relation to the photo. But I still liked the caption, and I like the photo a lot. Great texture, and great lighting.
And if athletics were illegal, I'd assume that'd be a pretty oppressive government, and people would find a way to do it anyway. I think games are simply hardwired into the human psyche.
A very gracious thank you to you for this and all your comments. The photo is actually of an old basketball backboard found behind an abandoned mental asylum (Day 181). The rectangular piece of rusted metal once held the hoop.
